camea&#700,,,,s latest release on her imprint neverwhere pays homage to her hometown seattle&#700,,,,s original underground rave warehouse, naf studios, where she went dancing in the late 90s and began her journey that ultimately landed her in berlin. also where nirvanna&#700,,,,s “smells like teen spirit” video was filmed (and ironically now a catholic publishing house), the hedonistic venue is legendary to those who picked up rave flyers scattered on the streets of seattle and took a chance on an emerging new electronic music scene. both originals reflect the raw warehouse vibe of this era, and matrixxman and markus suckut have weighed in with heavy remixes. markus puts his signature on the naf 97 original with a deep space atmospheric techno banger, and matrixxman reworks the original 303 recordings in jack u, sending it into another dimension - and even further.

this time we releasing music of someone who has nothing to do with music professionally, it’s something only about passion and inspiration. a very modest ukrainian boy, aleksei berezovskiy is a photographer, but sometimes when he feels like some sound is coming out of his soul he stays in front of his computer making actually a great music. he never shares his music in public, only with some friends and i was lucky enough to be informed about such a talent, so this is how we got into this point.

the second release of inkblots involves three great artists deeply active into the international techno scene: the japanese go hiyama and the berlin based duo i/y. on side a, go hiyama’s first track ‘recur’ delivers sinister atmospheres matched with a tough kick and industrial bleepy elements. slow and paranoic drones get in and out contributing to enlarge the sound perception. the second track ‘prop’ introduces elegant hi-hats and strident synths. a captivating kick perfectly embraces the shrill synths waving together with the sharp drum, what remains of the first side is just tense ambients, forewarning the journey is not over. side b smells like a dark club firing up, indeed i/y’s aim is not different at all. ’thesys 0000.001’ debuts with a thin bassline and distorted grave surroundings. the track evolves with clean slap hats sound in an empty echo chamber. deep timbres rise and fall, turning the entire route gently aggressive. the second track is an idm experiment which keeps a trippy approach and the clarity of claps and hi-hats. solid as the first one, ‘thesys 0000.003’ sets itself as an hypnotic but pleasant moment where suspicious fragments quickly appear and disappear: a sparkled trip to be enjoyed anytime but not by anyone.
